Metal Mask

Masks hide a person’s truly identity. Paris Kaye’s Metal Mask is an artistic representation of this very concept. A face with purposeful omissions, missing eyes as well as chunks of nose and cheek, the sculpture forms an incomplete portrait. Much like how a Mask forms an incomplete picture of a person. Whether it be a physical or social mask, someone using one purposefully hides their emotions, and therefore can’t really be understood. This gorgeous sculpture by Kaye explores this unknowability.
